My name is Laleh Kiavar, and I’m 26. About my background, I should mention that I received my BS in Applied chemistry from the University of Tabriz in 2018. I did my MS studies in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Tabriz in 2020 with a GPA of 18.68/20 (based on WES 4/4.) My supervisor was Dr. Mir Ali Farajzadeh, and the title of my master’s thesis was “Development of a method based on dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction followed by partial vaporization of the extract for ultra–preconcentration of some pesticide residues in fruit juices.” This study was published in the journal of Chromatography A. In addition, I have worked as a Quality Control Manager at Viera company since 2017. Viera is a private company established by my siblings and me, and various car lubricating products are manufactured.
Working at the Chromatography and Separation Science laboratory of Dr.Farajzadeh and my workplace’s laboratory brought me familiar with some equipment such as GC, HPLC, Mass Spectrometry and Flashpoint Tester, Pourpoint Tester, and Viscosity testing machine, respectively. My strong attachment to chemistry brings me to continue my academic studies to improve my knowledge in research-related areas. Therefore, I’m eager to apply to fully-funded Ph.D. positions.

Quality Control Manager
I am a Quality Control Manager at Viera company, a car lubricants manufacturer. Some products of this company are antifreeze, brake fluid, and gearbox oil. I do R&D projects as well. Localization of some imported additives from abroad is one of my duties. In addition, I'm doing daily evaluations of products to control their qualities. I'm experienced in my laboratory's instruments such as Flashpoint tester and Pourpoint tester.
My research interests and reasons behind them
Biochemistry is one of the crucial and essential research areas, which is a bridge between chemistry and people. Using science as an assistant for achieving a bright perception of diseases like cancer and finding a remedy for them is precious and interesting. For instance, studying how to plant stem cells, viruses, or any other biological sample on a polymer substrate should be a great experience. As another example, I should mention that extracting interest compounds from a complicated matrix like blood and evaluating their amounts is also exciting. Studying a project is like an adventurous journey, so we should engross ourselves in that project and enjoy it.
Chromatography is one of my interest areas, and I have two years of experience in it due to my master\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s thesis. Chromatography consists of a sample preparation step, using an analytical extraction method for separating target compounds from the matrice, and finally analyzing the results.
I have never studied biotechnology, and I think it would be a great chance to become familiar with this scientific area because, nowadays, enhancing knowledge in this field survives people\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s future and guarantees their health.
Synthesizing polymers and planting viruses, bacteria, or enzymes on them solves biology science\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s puzzles. In this regard, learning about polymer chemistry and studying it would be helpful for humanity.
