Position Details (PhD)

initially limited for three years, starting a soon as possible.

Your Tasks:

This new PhD position aims to explore the efficient implementation of AI algorithms, e.g., neural networks, with FPGAs. Concrete topics of this position can include but not limited to:

  • Efficient implementation of neural networks taking advantages of the structure of FPGAs
  • Hardware-software codesign for AI algorithms and FPGA implementation
  • Maximum utilization of FPGAs for AI algorithms, e.g., neural networks

 

Appropriate participation in administrative tasks, in teaching courses, and in supervising student work is expected.

Requirements:

  • A completed master degree in electrical engineering, computer science or other related disciplines
  • The final grade should not be worse than “Good”
  • Detailed knowledge of FPGAs, and proficiency in C, Python, VHDL/Verilog programming languages.
  • A good understanding of AI algorithms, e.g., neural networks, or is strongly interested in exploring AI algorithms

 

Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.
