PhD student (m/f/d)
The Department of Theory of Polymers has a vacancy for a PhD student (m/f/d) to work 30 hours per week in the Department of Theory of Biologically Inspired Polymers.
Job description:
– Modeling and simulation of polymer grafted nanoparticles for particles-based optics and sensing
– Development of multi-scale simulation methods that combine molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo methods
– Communicating research findings to expert audiences through scientific publications and presentations, as well as to the general public through outreach activities
Requirements:
– completed Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physics or a related field such as chemistry
Soft Skills:
– Ideally, prior experience in the theory/simulation of soft matter systems
– Interest in scientific collaboration with experimental partners
