James Fogarty completed a PhD in Economics in 2006. Following the completion of his degree he joined a large private sector economics consultancy, where he worked for a wide range of government and private sector clients. Natural Resource Management issues were a major theme of the work he completed as a consultant. In 2008 James joined the Agricultural and Resource Economics Discipline at UWA, where, in addition to his research activities, he has played a major role in curriculum development. James maintains a strong commitment to professional development in the field, and is the President of the WA branch of the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society.
