Position Details (Postdoc)

We are seeking to hire a person with a PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, computer science, statistics or applied mathematics.

Preferably the candidate should have experience of using large data sets to undertake projects with a particular focus on the integration of multidimensional clinical data from electronic health records. The aim of the project is to build novel methods to analyze complex data sets consisting of physiological, biological and clinical characteristics to personalize healthcare.

Salary: according to degree and the guidelines of the Swiss National Science Foundation

Requirements

Experience with at least one of the following coding languages:
R, C, MATLAB, Python.
Unix and shell scripts.
Good knowledge in machine learning, high dimensional data analysis and visualization as well as statistical modelling.Ideal skills:
Time series analysis.
Gaussian processes.
Missing data interpolation.
Data classification methods (e.g. random forests).
