Research ProgramThe 2008 crisis and the following austerity policies have drawn attention on the fiscal resources of local governments and on the growing inequalities in their ability to sustain public policies. The novelty of DAFFIG is to propose a critical approach of local fiscal data that encompasses the empirical as well as the theoretical challenges of fiscal geographies. The aim is to bridge the theoretical gap between the literature on fiscal issues and works on the evolutions of the geography of firms and populations.
