· Assistant position consisting of 3 successive two-year terms. This position includes research, teaching, and logistical tasks.
· Research in Mechanics of large deformations, Theoretical Mechanics and/or Applied Mathematics with the aim of obtaining a doctorate under the supervision of T. Lessinnes.
· Teaching includes responsibility for exercise sessions (in French) for the following courses: Analysis II (BA2), Mathematics III (BA2), Probability and Statistics (BA2), and Engineering Sciences (BA1) within the Polytechnic Bachelor’s programs at ULB and Charleroi. During exercise sessions, the assistant will answer students’ questions and teach them to master the concepts and techniques of the course, solve problems, and clearly write their reasoning. Before the sessions, the assistant will contribute to the preparation of solution sets.
· This position also includes exam supervision and grading, including the special admission exam for the Brussels School of Engineering. The assistant will also write exam questions.
· Logistical tasks include coordinating the exercise sessions for the aforementioned courses as well as helping prepare exams in BA1 or BA2 civil engineering.

Excellent level in Mathematics.
Excellent pedagogical qualities.
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French.
Ability to read and write English for the purpose of reading and writing academic papers.
