Job Description

Teaching
1) Supervision (in French) of general chemistry exercises (72h) and laboratories (144h) sessions in 1st year of the bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, civil engineering orientation (course CHIM-H1001 Chimie générale et procédés durables); coordination of the teaching team, preparation and correction of written exams (exercises part), etc.
2) Supervision (in French) of exercises sessions (about 30h) of introduction to applied sciences in 1st year of the bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences, civil engineering orientation (course TRAN-H100 Introduction aux sciences appliquées).
Research
Completion of a PhD thesis (in engineering sciences and technology, or in agronomic sciences and biological engineering) in one of the following topics:
– mathematical modeling of biological systems;
– optimization, control and state estimation of biological processes (cultures in bioreactors);
– analysis of biological networks.
Skills required
Required education level

Master’s degree in chemical engineering or in biochemical engineering or in chemical sciences
Teaching
——————
Very good knowledge of general chemistry concepts and their use for solving exercises and working in laboratories; pedagogical skills; team working.
——————
Research
Good knowledge in mathematical modeling, systems dynamics and control engineering applied to biological systems; skills in computer programming (Matlab).
