The Imaging Methods and Medical Physics programme at Masaryk University aims to prepare top experts in the field of radiology, nuclear medicine, medical physics and some areas of biomedical engineering and in the disciplines developed within the Biophysical Institute of Medical fakulty and in cooperation with clinics of the Faculty Hospital Brno.
Graduates of the Imaging Methods and Medical Physics programme at Masaryk University should be prepared primarily for further scientific careers in academic institutions, but also for potential employers in research facilities, health care facilities, and as lecturers.

After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:
- be oriented in the given topic, collect relevant data and prepare them for statistical processing and interpretation
- evaluate the current trends in radiology, nuclear medicine and biophysics / medical physics in which he prepares his dissertation work, as well as in the whole field of imaging / medical physics
- to transfer the experience gained from the field / expertise in the form of pedagogical activities, lectures and publications
- compile and compile the data obtained, to interpret the results achieved, to present their findings and to advocate them on the relevant forum
- lead research work independently
