Research Opportunity
Through a perceptive openness and engagement with the world, a performative response is stirred through the material properties of paint, such that the painting transcends its object status and becomes a vessel for a poetics of meaning. Painting is both a verb and a noun, and its significance depends on the skill of the artist to understand and translate the experience of Being, in the sense that Heidegger identifies as having been lost in everyday existence.
