Position Details (PhD Program)
The School of Modern Languages offers the possibility to do a PhD/MPhil in Translation Studies. The Translation Studies programme is offered at Bangor University.
Bangor University Bangor University has a long tradition of excellent postgraduate student support. Depending on the chosen research area, students will be assigned one or two supervisors and are guaranteed full access to computing facilities (including translation memory software), library provision and all School resources including the film library.
There is a dedicated postgraduate study area within the School which students are encouraged to use as often as they can.

- 2011. Tegau Andrews: ‘Websites and the Translation of Minority Languages: A Case Study in the Welsh Context.
- 2014. Adam Pearce: ‘The English Translations of Daniel Owen: Nation, Canon and Welsh-English Cultural Relations’. Co-Supervised by Dr Helena Miguélez-Carballeira (SMLC) and Dr Angharad Price (Ysgol y Gymraeg).
