At the IPF Institute for Theory of Polymers in the research area Theory of Biologically Inspired Polymers 2 PhD positions (m/f/d) with 30 hours per week each are available.
Job description:
– Development and investigation of protocells using coarse-grained simulation models
– Modeling and analysis of biomolecular condensates in cell-like environments
– Communicating research findings to expert audiences through scientific publications and presentations, as well as to the general public through outreach activities
Requirements:
– completed Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physics, biophysics, or a related field such as chemistry
Soft Skills:
– Ideally, prior experience in the theory/simulation of soft matter or biophysical systems
– Interest in interdisciplinary research
