As a research student in the Education programme at London South Bank University, you’ll become part of our thriving academic community. A member of staff, expert in your chosen field, is directly responsible for guiding and supporting your research programme.
Undertaking an MRes or PhD means making an original contribution to knowledge. They are distinct from a taught Masters in that your final output will be an extended dissertation or creative project relevant to your field of interest, rather than module-based coursework and exams.
You can complete an MRes in one year or part-time over two years, as opposed to a full PhD which can take up to five years. Students in the Education Education programme at London South Bank University London South Bank University are expected to self-direct their learning with support from a supervisory team.
