Position Details (PhD Research Project)

The Jan Ronse Institute for Company and Financial Law is part of the Research Unit Economic Law. The Institute does scientific research in the fields of company and financial law. This vacancy is for a PhD researcher in financial regulation in the broadest sense. The topic of the PhD is to be discussed with the promotor, and can be situated in the field of securities law, banking law, sustainable finance, digital finance, financial crime, listed companies or any other topic related to financial regulation.

In consultation with your supervisor (Prof. Dr. Veerle Colaert), you will select an original topic for a dissertation in the broad field of financial law.
Your main task consists of conducting scientific research within the scope of your doctoral project, completing the doctoral program, and obtaining a PhD. You will have ample opportunities to participate in national and international conferences and projects, both in Belgium and abroad.
In addition, you will provide teaching support, including supervising master’s theses and seminars, as well as conducting tutorials and study groups.
