Project

We invite applications for a PhD position in robotics, with a focus on state estimation, localization and mapping (SLAM) in dynamic and uncertain environments. The research will center on the integration of commercially off-the-shelf sensors and the development of resilient algorithms that combine first-principles modeling with modern machine learning techniques.
The goal is to push the boundaries of robust perception for augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) applications as well as for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) operating in real-world, dynamic settings.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with programming languages (preferably Python, C/C++).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; motivated to conduct high-quality research with industrial and societal impact.

Offer

  • A PhD trajectory in a stimulating, international research environment.
  • Collaboration with leading companies and research institutions.
  • Guidance from experienced researchers and professors.
  • The opportunity to make an impact for the industry and society of tomorrow.
