PhD position in finance
Position Details (PhD Research Project)
We offer a PhD position in finance starting 1st March 2026. The hired candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Michael Hasler, on the project “Inflation, Gold, and the Stock Market” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
Position details
- Conduct research with the aim to earn a PhD in finance.
- Participate in academic conferences and publish your research.
- Contribute to the teaching of classes and the administration of the institute and the Master in Finance programme.
Requirements
- Master degree in finance, or a related field.
- Programming skills in a statistical software package (such as R, Matlab, or Python).
- Excellent command of English (oral and written). French language skills are a plus.

- Project duration: 4 years with annual renewal.
- Annual gross salary: CHF 50’697 (according to SNF salary grid).
