The Transdisciplinary Institute of Social Work (ITTS) invites applications for a PhD position in social work (50 %) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michaela Slotwinski. The position is set to begin on or after February 1, 2025. The successful candidate is expected to pursue a PhD in social work.
Your tasks
– Conduct research for your (empirical) PhD thesis in the field of social work (public policy, inequality, gender economics and related fields).
– Support teaching and tutoring activities in quantitative methods for the social sciences.
– Participate in the development of the ITTS.
Your profile
– You hold a master in social work, economics, political science or a related field.
– You have excellent knowledge of undergraduate-level applied data analysis/econometrics, with a focus on causal inference.
– You have strong social and communication skills.
