JOB /OFFER DESCRIPTION 

One post-doctoral position for one outstanding young researcher in mathematics and/or in computer science for a duration of up to two years.

We are looking for a young researcher interested in federated learning issues within a security framework in the Cloud. In this context, we are looking to design machine learning tools that comply with the GDPR and therefore offer, at the very least,

1. a guarantee of respect for and protection of sensitive data (minimization of data collected and retained, anonymity…) ;

2. explicability of decisions;

3. a guarantee of the right to be forgotten.

The position is available for one year (with conditional extension to 2 years) in the post-doc program in Marseille.  Monthly brut salary is from 2616€ to 3062€, depending on the professional experience of the applicant. (a health insurance coverage is provided by the Aix Marseille University. This salary will be complemented by an extra 306 € bonus every month after one year.)

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED RESEARCH FIELDS, REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL, PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, OTHER RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS 

PhD in Mathematics or Computer science, 

• a good understanding of statistical learning;
• the ability to link technical problems and the mathematics of cryptography, algorithms, graphs;
• a good level of programming in Python;
• knowledge of the module PySyft (https://docs.openmined.org) would be an advantage.
