Mehmet Murat Ozmen received his Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Technology from Istanbul Technical University. He conducted research as Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Melbourne under the supervision of Greg G. Qiao.

Currently, he is an associate professor at Yildiz Technical University, Department of Bioengineering. His main interests are polymeric gels, biomaterials, and biopolymers.
