I obtained my PhD in organic chemistry in 2015 from Deakin University, Australia, under the supervision of Associate Professor Frederick Pfeffer. Following my doctorate, I moved to Sweden to work with Professor Joakim Andréasson as a postdoctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, where I was involved in projects concerned with the development of fluorescent bioactives as molecular tools to probe real-time intracellular events.
In 2017, I joined the group of Professor Morten Grølti at the University of Gothenburg, as a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow, in which my work focused on the development of light responsive kinase inhibitors as molecular tools for the study of disease progression in a cellular setting.
In January 2020, I joined the School of Science at AUT as a lecturer. Since 2024 I have been a lecturer at the University of Sydney.
