Position Details (PhD Research Project)
The Institute for Family and Juvenile Law is part of the Private Law Research Unit. The Institute coordinates the teaching assignments on Law of Persons and Family Law and conducts research on various topics within these domains of law.

– You are expected to conduct Phd research in the field of Law of Persons, Family Law or Juvenile Law. You will also be engaged in research projects of the Institute, according to the needs of the Institute and your own research interests.
– You are expected to translate your knowledge into scientific publications and presentations and to participate in national and international conferences and workshops.
– In addition, you will fulfil certain teaching activities (e.g. supervision of master’s theses).
Profile

– You are holder of a Master in Law, with good to outstanding results.
– You have great communication skills, both written and oral.
– You can work independently and as part of a team.
– Since the teaching activities are in Dutch, knowledge of Dutch is required.
Offer

A full-time contract for 2 years as of 1 September 2025, which can be renewed twice for 2 years, with a maximum of 6 years in total.
This function is linked to salary scale 43.
