Your Responsibilities

  • Research in the field of molecular reactions, photochemical processes and manipulation of single molecules on surfaces with scanning probe microscopy at the limits of spatial and temporal resolution
  • Participation in projects and ongoing research in the Single Molecule Chemistry group
  • Support of students at the bachelor/master/doctoral level
  • Developing innovative research ideas for application to competitive funding bodies
  • Preparation of research articles for publication in high impact journals
  • Maintenance, development and upgrade of existing experimental infrastructure
  • Conception and delivery of teaching courses in the area of physical chemistry
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures

Your Profile

  • PhD (or equivalent) in chemistry or physics
  • Specialisation in the field of scanning probe methods
  • Experience with ultrahigh vacuum
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • High motivation and scientific excellence
  • Independent way of working
  • Ability to work in a team

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 69.060,59 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
