Your Responsibilities

  • Independent and cooperative research with a focus on sustainability assessment and management in the context of digitalization and the circular economy
  • Completion of a dissertation
  • Participation in research projects
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals and other media of knowledge transfer
  • Participation in scientific conferences
  • Teaching courses and supervising students
  • Participation in university administration and organizational tasks of the department

Your Profile

  • Completed master’s degree in
    • sustainability sciences (e.g., environmental systems sciences, sustainable development, industrial ecology, circular economy),
    • social sciences (e.g., business administration, economics), with an affinity for sustainability management and assessment, or
    • informatics (e.g., data science, computational social systems) with an affinity for sustainability management and assessment.
  • Very good English skills required
  • German proficiency desirable
  • Proficiency in statistics and quantitative research methods
  • Programming skills (e.g., R, Python, …)
  • Experience with life cycle assessment desirable
  • Ability for independent research work
  • Strong team and organizational skills
  • High commitment and motivation for scientific work
  • Personal and social skills in working in international and interdisciplinary teams

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.007,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
