Applied Economist | Econometrics | Applied Macroeconomics | Public Economics

I am an applied economist with an MS in Commerce & Finance (CGPA 3.92/4.00) and a strong background in econometrics, empirical economic analysis, and quantitative research. My master’s research examined the asymmetric effects of economic policy uncertainty, pandemic uncertainty, and oil price movements on financial markets using nonlinear ARDL models and other time-series econometric techniques.

My research interests lie in applied macroeconomics, public economics, macro-financial linkages, economic uncertainty, monetary and fiscal policy, and empirical econometrics. I am particularly interested in understanding how policy and external shocks influence economic and financial systems through rigorous quantitative methods.

Alongside my academic background, I have several years of experience in analytical work within the public sector, where I have developed strong skills in structured analysis, evidence-based reporting, and problem-solving. I am currently seeking a fully funded PhD opportunity where I can contribute to high-quality empirical research while further developing my expertise in applied economics and econometrics.

Conduct analytical research and evidence-based assessments to support policy and operational decision-making. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, identify trends and patterns from structured datasets, prepare analytical reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Develop experience in critical thinking, data interpretation, structured reporting, and working under strict deadlines. These responsibilities have strengthened my analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, which complement my academic training in applied economics and econometrics.
