The Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy is a highly specialised program focusing on strong theoretical and scientific insight to provide expert, high-quality care in the field of rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy. The program trains graduates to conduct evidence-based practice in physiotherapy and to develop expertise in a specific domain of rehabilitation sciences.

The program trains graduates to conduct evidence-based practice in physiotherapy and to develop expertise in a specific domain of rehabilitation sciences.

The first year of the master's program offers a general, evidence-based approach to the various domains of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences. Students will be trained in research methodologies and their applications. In the second year, the focus shifts to the knowledge and skills related to one of the majors offered at the faculty. In the master’s program you choose from one of five majors:

  • Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
  • Neurological Rehabilitation
  • Paediatric Rehabilitation
  • Rehabilitation for Internal Disorders
  • Rehabilitation in Mental Health Care.

Career perspectives

The program prepares you for a job as a physiotherapist. As an employee, you can work in numerous care institutions such as outpatient clinics, hospitals and elderly care centres. You can also set up as an independent physiotherapist or associate in a practice.

Furthermore, you can work in institutes for special education, in consultancies and institutes for persons with impaired motor skills, and in sports clubs.

Your degree also gives you the opportunity to work in research or to enter a commercial position.
