Position Details (Master's)
TheEUREkA - Chemistry of Materials program from University of Bordeauxfocuses on knowledge, innovation and cross-disciplinary research and was developed with the support of theFrench National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and funded by thePlan Investissement d'Avenir, or Investment for the Future Program (projectGraduate School for junior researchersat the University of Bordeaux / UB GRS, reference20-SFRI-0001).
Key Facts
EUREkA is an interdisciplinary and international Master's and PhD program inchemistry and physical chemistry of materials, from the design, synthesis and developmental stages, to the chemical, physico-chemical and physical characterisations, and their use for specific functions and applications.
The materials studied are very diverse (inorganic materials, polymers, colloidal materials, hybrids, composites etc.) and draw on the main research areas studied in the University of Bordeaux laboratories. The program covers a wide range of topics relating to materials and their applications (energy, recycling, bio-materials, etc.) and its research community includes 8 laboratories, each with its own areas of expertise.
Courses include:
- Chemical bonding
- Elaboration of materials from inorganic to polymers
- Chemistry of materials taught by international visiting professors
- Project with an entrepreneurship angle in a UBx laboratory
- Industrial seminars
- Internship of 3 to 4 months
- Batteries and alternative energies taught by international visiting professors
