Position Details (Master's)
The Master of Science program in Materials Engineering (MATE) aims to cultivate next-generation materials engineers based on the substantial education and research infrastructure on advanced materials, a core area of HKUST that has earned a global reputation. The program also leverages on the university's strengths in artificial intelligence and soft matter, preparing students with integrated, updated materials-engineering training for career opportunities in broad industries.
Curriculum
Students are required to complete a total of 30 credits of coursework, made up of at least 15 credits of core courses. All students may also take a maximum of 9 credits of non-MATE postgraduate courses, subject to the approval of the Program Director.
