The Spanish program from Maynooth University offers research degree opportunities for students with a specific interest in the field of Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Studies which cuts across current offerings in languages and cultures within SMLLC.

• Research in related areas is also welcome, including language-specific research in applied linguistics and intercultural studies in (or through) German, Spanish or French.

• Students can graduate with the MLitt degree or, provided that their research is deemed of appropriate standard by the School Research Student Progression Committee, they can transfer into the structured PhD program in Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Studies.
