Aerospace Engineering
Position Details (PhD Program)
The Aerospace Engineering programme from Politecnico di Torino is based on two main elements: training and research. Both aspects seek to foster intellectual growth, develop the ability to understand problems and critically analyze the solutions connected to research, both basic and applied, in the aerospace field.
Career opportunities
The employment distribution of our PhD graduates from the last 5 cycles (30th-34th) shows that they are certainly employed in the aerospace sector but also in a number of other fields. This demonstrates that the PhD programme in Aerospace Engineering is definitely successful in achieving its goals.
Almost all (80%) PhD graduates have found employment in the aerospace sector, both in the field of research (40%) at Italian and foreign universities and research centers, and in important international aerospace companies based in Europe (40%).
Courses included:
- 3D Shell models for Composite Structures
- Advanced flight dynamics: modelling and simulation
- Advanced numerical modeling for systems engineering: theory and applications
- Advanced topics in the finite element method
