The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) at the University of Luxembourg is an interdisciplinary research centre committed to high-quality research and public dissemination in the field of contemporary history with a particular focus on digital methods and tools.
The C²DH's ambition is to venture off the beaten track and find new ways of doing,
teaching and presenting contemporary history of Luxembourg and the history of Europe in the 20th and 21st centuries. It serves as a catalyst for innovative and creative scholarship and new forms of public dissemination.

Your role

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research within the project "Historical Dictionary of the Resistance in Luxembourg during the Second World War"
  • Contribute to the realization of the Dictionary: coordination of the tasks, identification of sources for the History of the Resistance in Luxembourg, writing and editing contributions to the dictionary
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
  • Participate to the activities of the Research Group "Contemporary History of Luxembourg"

Your profile

  • PhD in History, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in the research in the field of the History of the Second World War, knowledge about the History of the Resistance is a strong asset
  • Good knowledge English and of French or German, Luxembourgish is an asset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate methodological, organized, pragmatic, and effective approaches to your work in collaboration with partners
