program Overview
The curriculum combines mandatory core programs with a range of elective options to tailor the learning experience. Students at the Astrophysics programfrom University of Wroclaw gain foundational knowledge in astrophysics, computational simulations, and data analysis while mastering observational techniques used in modern research. The program offers two specialised tracks: ASTROphysics (astronomy-oriented track), focusing on observational astronomy and celestial mechanics, and astroPHYSICS (theoretical physics track), emphasising cosmology, gravitation, and astrophysical modelling. With a hands-on approach, students engage in real-world research in fields such as black holes, gravitational waves, heliophysics, and astroparticle physics, working closely with international faculty and gaining experience in observational and theoretical methods. Alongside mathematical modelling and problem-solving, the program develops skills highly valued in industries like high-tech R&D, ICT, and finance, making graduates well-prepared for careers beyond academia. The program provides a strong foundation for PhD studies, allowing students to continue their scientific journey and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries in astrophysics.
