Marco De Jesus

Marco De Jesús is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico–Mayagüez. His research centers on the design and synthesis of functional polymers, with emphasis on precise control of macromolecular architecture and properties. He employs modern polymerization strategies to create advanced materials for applications spanning coatings, biomedical systems, and responsive materials. De Jesús leads an active research group, mentors undergraduate and graduate students, and collaborates across disciplines to translate polymer chemistry into practical solutions. His work appears in peer-reviewed journals, and he contributes to the academic community through teaching, outreach, and service at UPRM.
