Position Details (Master's)
The program provides bespoke research-informed modules to develop your knowledge of all topics relevant to strength and conditioning. The program capitalises on the University's sporting strengths to offer hands-on coaching experience, designed to give you the tools to develop athletic performance at the highest level.
You will focus on the science and practice of strength and conditioning, as well as the fundamental science underpinning performance adaptations. You will also immerse yourself in the strength and conditioning environment and have the opportunity to apply for an extended coaching placement with either Loughborough University performance athletes or external sport partners.
Career
Graduates of this Strength and Conditioning program from Loughborough Universitywill be able to pursue careers in a variety of settings predominantly working with elite sportspeople and teams, nationally and internationally. It could also open up career opportunities in youth athlete development, health and fitness club management, fitness consultancy, health promotion, personal fitness training, corporate health advice, sports or physical activity development and the armed forces.
The program also prepares students adequately to apply for roles in allied professions, such as academia, sports coaching, sport science, youth athlete development, health and fitness club management, fitness consultancy, health promotion, personal fitness training, corporate health advice, sports or physical activity development and the armed forces.
Our graduates have secured strength and conditioning and coaching jobs with: Fulham Football Club, Arete Performance, England and Wales Cricket Board, Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, Cressey Sports Performance, schools and further education institutions.
