If you've got an undergraduate degree and aspire to become a primary school teacher, then this course will help you on your way. The Primary Education course from University of Huddersfieldfocuses on developing the skills you need to teach children from ages five to eleven and upon successful completion we’ll recommend Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Placements

You’ll undertake a number of compulsory placements as part of your program, in fact you’ll spend over 120 days in at least two partner schools.

You’ll experience the wider role of a teacher in primary education. You’ll have the support of both a class and senior mentor in schools who will help you to develop your practice through observations, planning meetings, weekly tutorials, reports and in-depth lesson evaluations. Your link tutor will visit you in school to guide, support and evaluate your progress.

Our partnership schools are situated across the local area including Kirklees, Calderdale, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Wakefield, Barnsley, Bradford and we’ll endeavour to place you in a convenient location.
