The Accounting and Finance (Professional Practice) program at University of Huddersfield is supported with our state-of-the-art Trading Room which is equipped with professional software, providing up-to-date market data and financial analysis tools giving students a feel for how to deal responsibly with financial and economic market data.
Key facts
Together with studying your chosen course we are offering an additional 6-month placement opportunity, making the course 18 months in length. This allows students to put into practice the skills and techniques developed throughout the Master’s degree within a UK environment after completing the 12-month taught program.
Whether you’re planning a career with a major accountancy firm in the UK or internationally, this course helps prepare you by developing your critical understanding of the internationalisation of accounting and specific aspects of corporate finance. The course will provide you with key insights, with an emphasis on critical evaluation of regulatory and governance issues in financial management from an accounting perspective.
The Trading Room provides simulation of what it is like to work in the financial industry and provide experience of a real life financial markets environment, thus enhancing your experience and employability.
