You will study your Master's program at our Centre located at the heart of the University of Hull campus.
Who is this program designed for?
This Social Research - Pre-Master’s program atOnCampus Hullis designed to prepare international students forpostgraduate study in the UK. The PMP will allow you to improve yourEnglish while learning the study skills and research methods that youwill need during your Master’s degree studies. Depending on the lengthof the program you study, you may also study academic modulesrelating to your chosen progression route.
How long will I study for?
Each semester consists of roughly 13 weeks.The weekly hours of study varies by term with students on average studying around 18-23 (and up to 25) hours per week.
English Language forms up to six hours of your timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression, and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if you need additional support. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable.
Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours.
How will I be assessed?
Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will becompleted by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will bedesigned to demonstrate learning across the individual modules ofthe program and to allow you to experience a wide range of theassessment methods used in UK postgraduate programs.
