Gad Shaulsky is a Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics and a faculty member in the Genetics & Genomics Graduate Program. His laboratory investigates the genetic regulation of development and social behavior using the model organism Dictyostelium discoideum. The team studies how cells communicate, differentiate, and organize into multicellular structures, uncovering principles that apply broadly to developmental biology and evolution. At Baylor, Shaulsky mentors graduate students and contributes to interdisciplinary training in genetics and genomics, integrating experimental genetics with systems approaches to understand complex biological processes.
