Jiayue “Joyce” Shen is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Her work focuses on power electronics, electric drives, and renewable energy integration, emphasizing high-efficiency conversion and control for sustainable systems. At SUNY Poly, she teaches courses in power electronics and related topics and mentors students on projects spanning advanced converters and motor drive applications. Shen’s research interests include modeling, design, and control of converters and drives for grid-tied and transportation systems, as well as reliability and sensing in power systems. She actively collaborates with industry partners and contributes to multidisciplinary initiatives.
