Your Responsibilities
- Academic research with the goal of completing a dissertation within the approved doctoral program "Should I stay or should I go?"
- Support in project management, coordination, and leadership
- Collaboration within an inter-institutional research consortium
- Data collection and analysis as part of the project team
- Presentation and publication of research findings at (inter)national conferences
- Teaching courses
- Participation in the organization of events and public relations activities
The advertised position at the University of Graz is part of a larger project: As part of the initiative "Bildungsinnovation braucht Bildungsforschung" by the BMFWF and BMB, cooperative doctoral programs between universities of teacher education and universities are being promoted. The supervision of dissertations is carried out jointly by the participating institutions. This aims to provide optimal support for doctoral candidates and strengthen research collaboration between higher education institutions.
Within the framework of this initiative, the College of Teacher Education Styria, the Private College of Teacher Education Augustinum, the Universities of Graz and Klagenfurt, as well as the Johannes Kepler University Linz, are conducting cooperative doctoral programs on the topic "Should I stay or should I go: Conditions and Processes of Dropout in Different Phases of Studies and (Second) Career Entry." In this context, a total of six doctoral positions are being advertised for a duration of three years, focusing on various dissertations related to the topic of dropout in teacher education. Together, they aim to contribute to closing the research gap on dropout and to provide practical implications for teacher education and the teaching profession.

Your Profile
- Completed degree in Psychology (Master's or Diploma program)
- Proficiency primarily in quantitative research methods (required) and in mixed methods (desirable)
- Strong interest in academic research and publishing
- Experience in research projects, data analysis, and project management (desirable)
- Experience in higher education teaching (desirable)
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Independent working style and initiative, as well as strong teamwork and organizational skills

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.007,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
