Your Responsibilities

  • Active participation in the research group “Teaching/Learning and Digital Transformation”
  • Independent relevant research with the possibility of completing a postdoctoral qualification (habilitation)
  • Self-directed development of external research funding proposals, both independently and in collaboration with others
  • Contributions to cooperation projects
  • Contributions to the facilitation of scientific workshops and conferences
  • Publishing in international peer-reviewed journals
  • Supervision of academic theses (BA and MA level) and the administration of credit procedures (Anerkennungen, BWG)
  • Independently conducting teaching (planning, lessons, exams) in the field of teacher training (BWG)
  • Collaboration on organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

Your Profile

  • Completed doctoral degree in education or a degree in a related field that is considered equivalent for the position
  • International conference experience and publications (desirable)
  • Experience and interest in innovative university teaching methods (desirable)
  • Experience in the design and organization of empirical research projects and in the field of science communication/dissemination (desirable)
  • Experience and professional focus in the field of education-oriented research, preferably with a focus on digital transformation in education
  • Above-average knowledge of qualitative research methods
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Leadership and organizational skills, as well as enjoyment in working with people in an internationally oriented environment
  • Knowledge of university procedures and structures
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Willingness and interest in engaging in research on media education topics
  • Strong willingness to work in a team
