Your Responsibilities
- Academic examination of Italian-language literatures/French-language literatures in the Romance-speaking world
- Independent research in Romance-language literary/cultural studies with the possibility of Habilitation
- Participation in research projects of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Steffen Schneider and in the Core Research Area of the Faculty of Humanities Trans-mediterranean Entanglements
- Organisation of conferences
- University teaching in Romance literary and cultural studies and supervision of students
- Participation in examination work at the Department of Romance Studies
- Contribution to raising the profile of the Departmentof Romance Studies/the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Graz in the area of literary and cultural studies
- Participation in organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures at the Department of Romance Studies
*with the option to increase after 2 years
Your Profile
- Doctoral degree in Romance studies, in the field of Romance-language literary studies
- Outline for a research/Habilitation project in the field of Romance-language literary studies (Italian or French literatures)
- Excellent language competence in Italian
- Excellent language competence in French
- Very good language competence in German
- Interest in Mediterranean research and/or ecocritical issues
- Relevant international experience
- Experience in organizing conferences and academic projects
- Experience in university teaching (familiarity with digital third-level teaching)
- Scholarly curiosity
- Initiative and dedication such as good communication and team skills

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70.200,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
