Your Responsibilities

  • Independent research, publication and lecturing activities in the field of Adult and Continuing Education
  • Assistance in acquiring third-party funding
  • Design and implementation of independent research projects
  • Independent teaching courses and conducting examinations in the Bachelor's programme in Educational Science and in the Master's programme in Adult and Continuing Education
  • Providing subject-specific support to students at the Department of Educational Science in the context of their final theses
  • Advising and supervising students
  • Regional, national and international cooperation with research instiutions and organisations in the field
  • Participation in the organsation of various event formats at the Department of Educational Science
  • Collaboration on organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

Your Profile

  • Completed doctoral or PhD studies in the field of Educational Science with a focus on Adult and Continuing Education
  • Relevant publication, lecture and research experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the connections between social transformation processes and adult learning
  • Scientific expertise on topics and theories of adult and continuing education, in particular with a critical and/or educational philosophy focus
  • Knowledge of structures and developments in adult and continuing education
  • Willingness to acquire comprehensive skills in qualitative and/or quantitative methods of empirical research
  • Experience in participating in project applications and/or project implementation
  • Relevant teaching experience at university level and with digital teaching
  • Excellent written and spoken command of the following languages: German and English
  • High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperate and work in a team
  • Sensitivity to gender-specific issues
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Interdisciplinary understanding

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 69.060,59 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
