Your Responsibilities
- Conducting independent research, publications and teaching in the fields of sociological theory and history, as well as cultural and art sociology
- Teaching courses and supervising students at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels (in particular in the areas of sociological theory and history of sociology, social science methodology, main areas of sociology/specialized sociologies, research trainings and research laboratories)
- Participation in various projects of the Archive for the History of Sociology in Austria (AGSÖ)
- Applying for and managing research projects
- Participation in university self-administration as well as in the institute’s organizational tasks
- Supervision of students and interns
- Participation in science-to-public activities
Your Profile
- Doctoral/PhD degree in sociology or in a related field subject of equal value for the application
- Relevant publications and research experience
- Relevant teaching experience
- Experience with relevant archival research work
- Experience in project application and/or project implementation
- Very good command in written and spoken German and English
- Proven interest in the history of sociology or the social sciences
- Ability and willingness to undergo further training in the field of archive law
- Social communication and organisational skills
- Independent working style

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70.200,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
