Your Responsibilities

  • Independent research, publication and presentation activities in the field of EnglishLanguage Teaching, Research and Methodology
  • Participation in existing research projects and development of new research projects in the field of EnglishLanguage Teaching, Research and Methodology
  • Possibility to work on a habilitation project
  • Active participation in applications for third-party funded projects
  • Independent teaching of courses and conducting of examinations
  • Professional and organizational supervision of students
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation tasks within the department and institute

Your Profile

  • Completed doctorate/PhD in the area of English Studies, Applied Linguistics or equivalent, with a special emphasis on ELT
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken German and excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Very good IT skills, especially in connection with digital teaching
  • Enjoyment of scientific work and working with students
  • Independent and goal-oriented working style
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience in English language teaching at secondary school level is desirable
  • An interest in the psychology of language learning and teaching is also desirable

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 70.200,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
