Elias R. Most is an Assistant Professor of Theoretical Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Burke Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Walter Burke Institute for Theoretical Physics’ computational relativity group. His research focuses on relativistic astrophysics, including neutron star mergers, black hole formation, dense matter, and multimessenger gravitational-wave science. He develops high-performance computational models to study extreme gravity, magnetic fields, and radiation in compact object systems, connecting simulations to electromagnetic and gravitational-wave observations. At Caltech, he leads a research group advancing theory, computation, and data interpretation to uncover the physics of the most extreme events in the universe.
