Jingjing Liang is a Professor of Quantitative Forest Ecology at Purdue University’s Department of Forestry and Natural Resources and co-directs the Lab of Forest Advanced Computing and Artificial Intelligence (FACAI). He leads the Global Forest Biodiversity Initiative and works at the intersection of forest ecology, biodiversity, and data science. Liang develops and applies big data and AI approaches to understand global patterns of tree diversity, forest structure, and ecosystem services, informing conservation and sustainable management. His collaborative, international research integrates massive forest inventories and remote sensing to address climate, biodiversity, and human–environment challenges at global scales.
